Over the years, we were called on to facilitate change or to help turn around many organizations. Here are some of our success stories.
The Obstacle: The Board of Directors was lethargic and limited to less than nine individuals, not all of whom were able to fully contribute due to their work constraints.
The Game Changer: With expertise in Bylaws, Peter Constantinou expanded the Board of Directors to 25 individuals, each of whom represented major segments of the target membership. This increased members and re-energized the directors.
The Obstacle: The professional association had about 25 members, down from 300.
The Game Changer: The AMI Team called and worked the last known membership list which increased membership from 25 to 175 in the first year and to 325 by the third year.
The Obstacle: The plug was to be pulled and the online member management system – and website – was to disappear in 30 days.
The Game Changer: Maria Stavrides assessed their existing membership system and database. Then, she designed and implemented a fully-integrated online member management system [membership, finances, events and communications] and web site in 19 days.
The Obstacle: Events were being planned [location, topics and speakers] 15-45 days prior to the event.
The Game Changer: Emily Klima evaluated the event programming and developed timelines for the completion of the event planning process. Before taking off for the Thanksgiving holiday, events were completely planned out [locations, contracts, topics, speakers and promotion] for the next calendar year.
The Obstacle: The organization’s leadership had not received financial reports for at least eight months.
The Game Changer: Tad Lyon assessed the inherited documents to classify revenue and expenses for the previous eight months, consolidate numerous checking accounts into one and implement a QuickBooks Online account. With a streamlined Chart of Accounts, Classes for the various divisions and timely entry, Directors receive a standardized set of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
The Obstacle: A business organization had lots of ideas which fell on deaf ears.
The Game Changer: The AMI Team quickly pooled all of the ideas together and worked with the Board of Directors to prioritize their goals. With the guidance of the entire team, one by one, many of the goals of the previous five years were achieved in less than four years.
