It is a beautiful June evening in Saratoga Springs, NY and we are sitting in a restaurant booth designed after a barn stable. For the past 12 hours, we “were on”. Not only did we manage onsite conference logistics, but we permeated the very soul of the conference with energy to fuel the fire. In short, we’re exhausted!
Typically, event planners work 6 to 18 months in the planning and preparation phases of event management. Then, they work on-site in the execution phase. This will most likely include meeting room set up, speaker logistics, audio visual needs, and, of course, last-minute registration issues. Our Events Coordinator, Emily Klima, knows this too well.
In each of the past four years, Emily focused her time and energy to plan, prepare, execute and wrap-up over 45 in-person events, 15 webinars, 4 multi-day conferences and a golf tournament. These types of events are not unheard-of for association management companies. However, the key difference between “their” event and “our” event is the energy the AMI Team provides. It’s subtle but stimulating.
Our clients continue to be amazed at the energy we bring to an event and, the association. You can’t learn this. You either have it, or you don’t. Even previous clients have said ‘your energy is missing’.
While it is important for the Emily’s of association management to fully plan and prepare for an event of any size, it’s equally important to “bring it”. The AMI Team…the energy you need to fuel your event.
